An English epidemiologist and medical statistician who, with Richard Doll, conducted a long-term prospective study of the smoking habits and health of 40,701 British doctors, known as the British Doctors Study. He is also known for the Bradford Hill criteria, a set of considerations for judging whether an observed association between two things is likely to be causal.
